Visa Cancellation Kit

The Visa Cancellation Kit is a plain English guide drafted by IARC (in conjunction with the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service in Queensland) to provide guidance to individuals facing visa cancellation on character grounds under s501 of the Migration Act.

Visa cancellation under s501 is extremely serious and will result in permanent exclusion from Australia. Therefore the Visa Cancellation Kit provides guidance on how to respond to a Notice of Intention to Cancel and what supporting evidence to provide.

IARC Information Sheets

As a means of furthering community education on common migration issues, IARC has made significant efforts to maximise the number and circulation of its information sheets on particular visa types and other migration matters.

IARC’s Information Sheets provide a step-by-step guide to the visa application and review process. These information sheets provide information which is often not available in the fact sheets and Booklets produced by the Department of Immigration. Importantly, the IARC Information sheets provide an independent, plain English, step-by-step guide to the visa application process and beyond. Access to IARC’s information sheets is free. To review the information sheet relevant to you, simply click on the name of the information sheet. Sheets are available as Word or PDF downloads.
